Overview

Welcome!
Welcome to the site of the Overall Transportation Plan update. The Overall Transportation Plan (OTP) is an element of the City’s 2030 Comprehensive Plan and sets planning policies for the short-term and long-term needs of transportation in Georgetown.
The OTP encompasses all forms of transportation and will prepare for road widenings and news roads, transit options such as light-rail, high speed rail, and bus service, and non-auto forms of transportation such as pedestrian, bicycle and other alternatives. This plan will analyze the existing data and conditions and then utilize modeling, land use planning and population projections to formulate a new comprehensive transportation model for the next 25 years.
The City of Georgetown has recently begun the update to the Transportation Plan by hiring the Klotz Engineering firm as a consultant and the process of updating the Plan is getting underway. This site will contain updates on future public meetings, draft language and other materials, and general updates on the planning process.
